Flyday was a comeback album for Kraan, a noteworthy effort after two lackluster releases. The band goes for a more straightforward progressive rock/jazz fusion blend than ever before, and guitarist Peter Wolbrandt in particular sounds like he is enjoying every minute of it.6/

Andy Nogger is the third album by German jazz-rock/funk band Kraan, released in on Spiegelei. Tracklist: A1. “Stars” () A2. “Andy Nogger” () A3. “Nam Nam” () A4. “Son of the Sun” () B1. “Holiday am Marterhorn” () B2. “Home” () B3. “Yellow Bamboo” () Credits: Peter Wolbrandt — guitar, vocals Jan Fride — [ ].

Wolbrandt's unusual guitar, Pappert's flowery sax, and a most imaginative song style, were all factors. But, more than that, it was their intuitive playing, Arabic textures, witness the extraordinary 18 minute Kraan Arabia that takes up almost half of the album without a wasted minute, and sheer daring of it all that made it such a great album.
  7. Malaramar says:
It also displays one of the weaknesses of the overall KRAAN sound and that is the weak vocal abilities of Peter Wolbrandt. Luckily most of the album's run is instrumental but i have to admit that a more refined vocalist could have allowed the music to flow into higher dimensions. Second track "M.C. Escher" focuses more on the jazz-fusion.
